Tee shots
Beginner vs Advanced Approaches to Tee Shots
Give newer players and stronger players different tools for the same job: a playable first ball.

Beginners: reduce chaos
Newer golfers should learn one reliable tee height, one stock club, and one balanced finish. The immediate win is not shaping shots both ways. It is starting the hole without a penalty and keeping the ball somewhere findable.
Advanced players: manage patterns
Better players can choose windows. They know their driver carry, their one-way miss, and when a three-quarter fairway wood leaves the preferred yardage. They also understand that a tucked pin tomorrow does not matter if today’s tee shot is out of bounds.
| Skill level | Best tee-shot focus | Smart benchmark |
|---|---|---|
| Beginner | Solid contact and direction | Ball in play |
| Mid-handicap | Stock curve and club choice | Playable approach |
| Advanced | Dispersion and angle | Best scoring zone |
What both groups share
Every golfer needs commitment. Pick the club, pick the window, and swing to a finish you can hold. Doubt is a poor swing coach.
