How to Care for Golf Sunglasses

A five-minute maintenance habit

Golf sunglasses spend time in bags, pockets, and dashboards, and the lenses are the most vulnerable part. Scratches, coating breakdown, and lost nose pads degrade optical clarity faster than any tint fades naturally.

Try this routine:

1. Rinse or wipe lenses with a microfibre cloth after rounds in dusty or salt-air conditions.
2. Store in a hard case rather than loose in the golf bag pocket where they collect debris.
3. Replace nose pads and temple tips when they become stiff, discoloured, or no longer grip securely.
4. Check for coating delamination each season — a lens that has started to flake affects how clearly you read contours.
