Practice with consequences

Pressure practice for stance should feel a little uncomfortable. Pick a target, set a pass-fail rule, and make yourself restart when you miss. That’s closer to golf than raking another ball over and hoping the next one behaves.

Try this mini-test:

  1. Choose a fairway, green, or putting gate.
  2. Hit three balls with your full routine.
  3. Score one point for your intended start line and one for solid contact.
  4. Don’t leave until you reach six points out of six.

Why it works

The routine matters as much as the mechanics. You’re training the decision, the breath, and the swing together.
