Golf rangefinders
How to Care for Golf Rangefinders
Keep your rangefinders working longer with storage, cleaning, and maintenance habits that take minutes.

A five-minute maintenance habit
A rangefinder that’s knocked around in a cart bag and never cleaned will slow you down before you notice the optics have degraded. The most preventable faults are lens fogging, low battery, and a loose port cover.
Try this routine:
- Clean the objective and eyepiece lenses with a microfibre cloth after every round.
- Check and top up the battery before any competition or important round.
- Confirm the port cover closes fully to keep moisture from the electronics.
- Store in a padded case, not loose in a side pocket where it picks up grit.
Small habits, big difference
A rangefinder in good condition locks faster and reads cleaner. Those seconds saved in the pre-shot routine are worth more than any advanced feature that takes longer to use than the one it replaced.
