Read the miss before fixing it

The common error in driver technique is reacting to the last ball instead of the pattern. One wild drive might be tee height, tempo, alignment, or a strike low on the face. A repeated driver miss is a pattern, and patterns deserve a plan before more speed.

Simple fixes to test

Pattern First check Better response
Ball starts off line Face at address Re-aim the club, then the body
Strike wanders Distance from ball Make three half-speed swings
Curve doubles Path and face gap Shorten the swing and reduce speed

Avoid the opposite miss

If a high spin slice or a low heel ball shows up, do not chase the mirror-image mistake. Adjust one variable—tee height, ball position, or tempo—and test it before moving on.
