Read the miss before fixing it

The common error in distance control is reacting to the last ball instead of the pattern. A single poor swing can be wind, balance, or contact. Three similar shots are a message worth respecting.

Simple fixes to test

Pattern First check Better response
Ball starts off line Face at address Re-aim the club, then the body
Strike wanders Distance from ball Make three half-speed swings
Curve doubles Path and face gap Shorten the swing and reduce speed

Avoid the opposite miss

If one wedge flying over the back and the next dying short shows up, do not chase the mirror-image mistake. Make one small adjustment, hit a short set, and judge the start line before changing again.
